About

I am a Postdoc at EMBL Heidelberg. I received my PhD from Heidelberg University under the supervision of Anna Kreshuk and Fred Hamprecht. My focus lies on deep learning and computer vision, with a particular interest in label efficient learning for instance segmentation, semi- and self-supervised learning and robustness of neural networks. I am also a visiting scientist at Fraunhofer HHI working on explainable AI. I did my MS in Computer Science at AGH University of Science and Technology (focus: distributed systems, evolutionary algorithms), where I worked with Robert Schaefer. I create and contribute to popular open source machine learning projects. Sometimes I DJ.
